The Ipod Shuffle

Imagine getting the world’s smallest digital music player ,for free ? We just got ours ,and all this ,for referring a person to open his account in Deutsch Bank.Like employee referral prizes,this is a freebie you get for getting one more customer on their roll.I’m the kind who thinks that its perfectly fine to listen to music on the laptop or the stereo,as long as it plays decently well.I dont really dig into bose speakers or whatever.But,when something is for free,why pass it on ??

The 1 GB ipod shuffle can supposedly store upto 240 songs.Its available in a few more brighter colours – orange,blue,pink and green.So,if you really want to flaunt it around,you can go for those.But when you get it for free,you’ll end up with the mute silver one,as you see above.Its small,sleek,plays good enough music.The only con is that it doesnt have a display to show what song is being played or to choose to play songs by a particular artist or album.And,its extremely small,as thin as a wafer biscuit.So,if you are the always-misplacing-things-kind please pick up bright green.Here,it costs around 79 Euros (around 5K INR max).So,if you want an Ipod and find the bigger ones too pricey,this one is not a bad deal.Its got the Apple logo,the Ipod name and it costs less,and yea,it plays music pretty well too .

Anyways,I’ve no complaints.I got it for free.And I’m loving it

Ridiculous !

Yea,Yea the Potter Mania has got to me too.. 21st July and I wish I could have my hands on the next and final in the Potter series.But,it costs a whooping 18 euros if you order the book online (converted ,it reads as around 1100 INR!! whew,so much for a book ? Could I ever forgive myself if I do this ?).So,for now its on my wishlist.

Read all of the series and forgotten almost everything about it as well.But,it was good while it lasted.I mean,while I read it,i really enjoyed it. Most people seem to think Harry Potter is for kids ,but actually,it makes up for quite an interesting read even for us adults.A little bit of humor here and there,and a generally interesting plot (almost always ,its the person you least suspect who turns out to be the culprit,and reveals more of Harry’s past).

And,for those who didnt know (I didnt ,till quite recently) , there are actually two editions of the next book “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” ,one normal one and the other is an Adult edition ..Hmm..double the profit for Rowling.

I wish i knew some spell to reduce the price of the book.Reducius !!

Simply Beautiful

After heaving the N70 for a year now(my friends used to fondly call it as the Sengal mobile),and then being handed over something that looks like a walkie-talkie(but,seriously,its s’posed to be a cell phone) after I disowned the N70 ,i think its time to get a new cell phone.Atleast with the N70,I tried deliberately dropping it accidentally quite a few times,hoping to create a reason to get a new phone.It didnt work.The Rock is rock-solid.

Now,with the walkie-talkie,all I am able to say is “Hello,over and out”,and the phone decides to disconnect itself.What can I say? its got a mind of its own.So,finally,I get to buy a new cell phone.

I was a die-hard Nokia fan.Till they started producing really high-end ,sophisticated ,but huge cell phones.Initially,short-listed the MotoKrzr K1.Then,dropped the idea yesterday when I found out that the phone has quite a few problems with display etc.Finally,got back to Nokia and found out that they’ve recently brought this really sleek and mid-range model into the market.The Nokia 6300.Simply beautiful.Not too jazzy,seems to have most of the features I want.And definitely as slim as I want my phone to be.Here is a pic.

The best thing about Nokia is that any damn fool (er..dont look at me !) can use it.Endrendrum Nokia !
